F1.26, New retro formula based on Fiat 126

Hello dear friends,

we are long years interested into Monza 875 theme. And we like this theme very much, we collected quite big archive about this great formula.
In 2012 we start to work on our own project named F1.26 , the idea is to bring back on tracks cheap opportunity for racing. We have long history connected with Fiat 126. And if the things will go good, till the end of year we will start the production. At this moment we are working on first prototype and we are proud that first site (cause sine yet it wasn´t promoted) on which we inform about our project is Formulini.

Bodywork is now made from metal, but its only model for create moulds. Body will be from fiberglass and all mechanical parts will be used from Fiat 126

will it be standard fiat 126 engine or it would be "powered"?
have u got any idea about the cost of a complete and running car?

Hello Luca,

thank you very much for those words.
We are happy that you like the shape of F1.26 our idea is to bring cheap racing back to reality. To make possible young drivers start with formula racing.
First prototype will be finished we hope till the end of June. its hard to say now exact costs but for now we know that will be in offer complete running car including Slovak FIA homologation for we hope not more then 12600,-€ or second possibility will be to buy kit which will contain spaceframe incl. floor and side pannels, pedals, fuel tank, fiberglass bodywork and seat with Slovak FIA homologation for 6000,-€. The F1.26 will use all mechanical parts (suspension, engine,gearbox, brakes) from Fiat 126 aircooled. And will be only up to owner if he will use standard engine&gearbox or modified.
The spaceframe and all things are designed safetiest as possible completely under FIA rules. At Slovakia will be allowed to start in this formula on uphill races also for 15 years old drivers.
After we finish the car we will organize at Slovakia national test track days. And we will invite groups from every state to try formula on track. Now we have almost finished list from Slovakia, Czech, Poland but we are now only starting with list from Italy so if someone will be intersted you are welcome.
We will post more photos soon. Currently are metal moulds in fiberglass firm but till half of June we hope they will be back and we will make some fresh pictures.

your car is really interesting.

let us know something about the engine, is it stock or prepared?
what about the races? is it possible to use it in normal hillclimb and track races in your Country?

have you got any idea of the price of the car?

Thank you very much. The F1.26 is based on Fiat 126 and its up to each owner if he will use standard or modified engine. We will sell kits for build this formula.
Apart of kit will be painted space frame, floor, alluminium pannels, seat, fuel tank, electrics, rear light, gear shift mechanism and of course fiber glass body in white gelcoat. The price for this kit will be 6000,-€
Competed formula have Slovak FIA homologation an also sport documents. Car is designed for racing at hillclimb or circuits.
I hope that in near weeks we will start with testing so will upload the video then.

Thank you Luca Those are photos of our very good friend (and first customer) garage. As you should see he allready own 2 monzas after renovation and he bought also our F1.26.
At this videos is our first testing season with monoposto, the engine there is stock only using the higher crankshaft,race exhaust and 123 ignition. The gearbox was modified by shorter drivetrain from 500. Now we are working on more powerfull engine with panda head and 1 or 2 (didnt decided yet ) Mikuni motorbike carbs. We are thinking also about presentation in Italy but we dont know the calendar or where and when it should be best. Would be lovely to make column photos of F1.26 with vintage Monzas...
